May Newsletter 2022
Happy Spring! The weather has been beautiful and all areas of the club are hopping. Spring represents new beginnings and we are announcing a new software platform to go live on May 25th. We will be shutting off reservations in Club Automation on May 26 so be sure you take the time to review the instructions for the new Compete App prior to May 26 so that you are ready to sign up for your activities at the club. We have been working hard behind the scenes to make this software transition as painless as possible for our members. Having said that, anyone who has gone through a platform change knows that it can be challenging in the best circumstances. Instructions for signing into your new portal will be sent out via email, so be on the lookout for this communication.

Pickleball Court Additions
There has been a delay in the permitting for the wall demolition and I am working with the contractor and the City of Westlake Village to get the permits through. Once the permits are in place, we can begin repairing Pickleball Court 1 and creating permanent courts 2 and 3. Thank you for your patience with this process.
Fitness and Swim
May 28 - Sound Bath with Tae Bond: This event continues to be popular with our members and we are offering once every month. It is a wonderful way to bathe your body in soothing, meditative sounds! I have already registered for this event, and I look forward to a "reset" for this coming Spring. Click on the links below for more details and to sign up.
Vinyasa Yoga is Back on Thursday Evenings

The Theraguns and Therabody Wave Rollers are in! These are wonderful devices that help with both warm up for, or recovery after, your fitness activity. Miscellaneous Updates
Accurate Reservations
It is important to make sure your reservations for all areas of the club are accurate. If you input incorrect names in your court reservations, this can slow down the front desk check in process and we try to give you the smoothest member process as possible. It is also important that you use the designated court/lane you were assigned at the time of check in. If you wish to change a court or lane, please contact the front desk to ensure the space is truly available.
With summer around the corner the Club becomes busier and it becomes even more important that we allow as many members access to our facilities as possible, so please be thoughtful and cancel any reservations you are not able to use. We often have waitlists for classes and open play, as well as players waiting for an open court - especially during primetime hours. We hesitate to implement "no show" fees, but if we see members who do not cancel reservations, we will begin to add a "no show" fee to your statement.
