Congratulations to Our Outstanding Swimmers!

If you frequent our pool, you're likely familiar with Jennifer Weiderman, her son Cole, and Doug Kohler—dedicated Master swimmers who train diligently in our lanes.
Cole's Remarkable Achievements:
  • Placed 1st in three events at his first U.S. Master Swim, breaking the national record in the 1650 by over six seconds.
  • Secured additional 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes.
  • Ended his collegiate swimming career as an All-American, placing 8th in Division 3 for Cal Lutheran.
  • Honored as Athlete of the Year by both Cal Lutheran University and the Ventura County Hall of Fame.
Jennifer's Impressive Performances:
  • Achieved her best times in the U.S. Master Swim in five years.
  • Earned 1st and 2nd place finishes, along with 3rd, 4th, and 5th places in national competitions.
Doug's Strong Showings:
  • Secured 5th, 7th, and 9th place finishes in his division.
We're incredibly proud of their dedication and accomplishments. Truly, the family that swims together stays together!

Pool Lane Reservations

We continue to have issues with members jumping into a lane without reservations. Even when there appears to be an open lane, it may be scheduled on the half-hour or a member may be running a few minutes late. When someone jumps into a reserved lane without a reservation, it often causes several swimmers to have to move around unnecessarily. Lane 3 remains open to up to 2 swimmers without reservations. If your schedule unexpectedly opens up, you can easily make a reservation in the WAC app, or the front desk will happily assign you to an available lane.

Miscellaneous

We wanted to inform you about an important update regarding the new benches and chaise lounges that were scheduled to be delivered this month.

Unfortunately, due to ongoing supply chain issues, the delivery of these items has been delayed. We understand that this news may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please be assured that we are doing everything possible to expedite the process and will keep you updated on any new developments.
